I WAS a little sceptical before I started my trial of Weleda’s Citrus 24h Roll-On Deodorant.

I’d tried other natural deodorants in the past and always been a bit disappointed. I’d always end up going back to using the same old deodorants loaded with aluminium salts — just because I thought they were the only deodorants that worked properly.

Not that I had much body odour to begin with, but you know — combined with wearing my favourite perfumes — a woman has got to smell her best.

So I began my week-long trial of this deodorant a little hesitantly, although I have to say that every other Weleda product I’ve ever tried in the past has always been gorgeous. I shouldn’t have been that surprised to find this product was also a winner.

It’s now a full week after I began my trial of this deodorant, and I’m pleased to say I smell lovely.

It has a delicious lemony smell — and it is most-definitely wearable. Actually, it smells delightful enough to eat. There is nothing fresher than the smell of citrus, but this is not an overwhelming, sharp smell — it’s subtle and pleasant.

I like the smell so much that despite the trial period being over, I’m still wearing this product.

Best of all, I know I’m not putting any nasties on to my skin each day in order to smell nice — it’s all natural. And that’s a good feeling, knowing that I’m treating my skin with respect and care, the way it deserves to be treated.

I think we need to start thinking about how we treat our skin in general, and what we apply to it as part of our everyday routines.

In this health-conscious day and age, many of us do think about what we put into our bodies in the way of food and drink, but perhaps some of us don’t give as much consideration to what we put on to our skin.

Well, I know I probably didn’t anyway.

I think Weleda has made me realise that natural can be beautiful as well as effective.

The other product that I tried out recently was Manuka Doctor’s Drops of Crystal Beautifying Bi-Phase Oil.

Kourtney Kardashian is Manuka Doctor’s global brand ambassador and I’ve always thought her skin looked lovely and radiant, so I was excited to begin my trial of this product.

I tried the oil out on my skin for 10 days just to make sure I’d given it a good-enough trial.

I applied four drops to my face morning and night. You need to do it after you’ve cleansed your skin and you need to shake the oil before applying it.

It felt absolutely luxurious to apply, but also nourishing and ever so hydrating.

My winter skin was a little dry before using this product, but it doesn’t feel dry any longer.

On top of that, my skin feels much softer now since adding this product to my skincare regime.

What a way to start the day with these two beautiful products.

You can smell great and your skin can feel and look better with these products and best of all, they take no time to apply.

No wait time, just apply and start your day, feeling pampered, nourished and confident that you are caring for your skin.

We only have the one skin, so we may as well look after it.
