A 16 year old pianist who will perform works by Beethoven, Liszt, Debussy and Chopin marks the start of Tairawhiti Museum’s concert series that begins on Sunday.
Fifth year Burnside High School student Lixin Zhang (pictured) is enrolled in a specialist music programme but has already earned prestigious awards from
institutions such as the Royal Schools of Music, and a fellowship diploma certificate from the Trinity College of London.
Tairawhiti Museum’s Sunday afternoon concert series is supported by Professor Jack Richards.
Entry is $5 for adults, and children. Students with ID free. The concert will run from 2-3pm.
