The final screening of Alien Addiction, an absurd, sci-fi comedy lashed with Kiwi humour, will be held at the Odeon tonight — and includes a meet and greet with lead actor Jimi Jackson.
When two aliens crash land near Rikos’ (Jackson) house, he takes the extraterrestials on a bender. Meanwhile,
alientologist Peter Mackintosh (Thomas Sainsbury) plans to reveal the aliens to the world.
The cast includes comedian Harry Summerfield and Jojo Waaka who plays Jacinta, a woman determined to find love at any cost.
“I wanted to do something that hadn’t been done before,” director Shae Sterling told The New Zealand Herald.
“I like those old Peter Jackson Bad Taste movies. Those absurd ones. That’s where I wanted to start.”
