Now in its 20th year — and its first in lockdown — this year's theme for New Zealand Music Month is support local, stream local, follow local and buy local.

make plans for the future,” said NZ Music Month's Rodney Fisher.
Thirty years — almost twice as long ago as Supreme Brother Sound guitarist Josh Te Kahu wrote his song Motives — have passed since a 7-inch vinyl record was pressed in New Zealand.
To mark the moment, Holiday Records are offering an opportunity for an aspiring artist to have their music pressed as New Zealand's first 7-inch since 1987.
Entries are open until Wednesday May 31, and the prize includes recording time and mixing from Roundhead Studios, vinyl mastering from Munki Studios, artworks and creative services from Sunday Best and 300 records pressed and packaged by Holiday Records.
