BLACK COMEDY: Mockingbird actors Lisa Brickell (left) and Siri Embla. They will perform on Monday, March 11 at Unity Theatre.
A counsellor who is afraid of commitment and terrified of having children due to her family history of postnatal depression, is at the heart of Mockingbird, a black comedy about motherhood and mental health.
Actor Lisa Brickell switches between three generations of characters and their menacing “inner critic” which she
performs in a commedia dell’arte style half mask.
Written and performed by Lisa Brickell and musician Siri Embla, and directed by Giovanni Fusetti and Ruth Dudding, the two-woman show will be staged at Unity Theatre on Monday, March 11, 8pm.
Tickets $30 from www.eventfinda.co.nz or at the door.
