Elizabeth Boyce plays Lady Augusta Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest, which opens tomorrow at Evolution Theatre, 75 Disraeli Street.
I SAY: “A man who desires to get married should know either everything or nothing,” social climber and bastion of Victorian mores, Lady Augusta Bracknell (Elizabeth Boyce) says in Oscar Wilde’s comedy, The Importance of Being Earnest.
Wilde’s devastating but very English wit drives the elaborate plot in his satire
on stuffy society lives.
Directed by Dinna Myers, the Evolution Theatre Company’s production of the comedy opens tomorrow night at Evolution Theatre, 75 Disraeli St.
The Importance of Being Earnest, Evolution Theatre, 75 Disraeli St, June 26 – July 11. 7.30pm with a 4pm matinee on June 28.
