American Animals: True story of how four friends steal from the rare books collection of a university library in Lexington, Kentucky.

Yellow is Forbidden: New Zealand documentary maker Pietra Brettkelly (A Flickering Truth) chronicles designer Guo Pei’s attempt to break into the exclusive and mostly European club of elite fashion designers.

They Shall Not Grow Old: Peter Jackson transforms audio and moving-image archive footage over a century old to tell the story of the men who experienced day-to-day life on the battlefields of World War 1.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald: Albus Dumbledore enlists former student Newt Scamander to help thwart Grindelwald’s plans to raise pure-blood wizards to rule over non-magical beings. Stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Jude Law and Johnny Depp.

Alien Addiction: Riko (Jimi Jackson) lives a normal life in a Waikato town until two aliens crash-land near his house. Riko befriends them. Meanwhile, an “alientologist” has tracked the aliens and plans to capture them and show them to the world.

Bohemian Rhapsody: Film tells the story of British rock band Queen, focusing on lead singer Freddie Mercury, up to the Live Aid performance at Wembley in 1985.

Journey’s End: Set in a dugout in Aisne in 1918, it is the story of a group of British officers, led by the mentally disintegrating young officer Stanhope, as they await their fate. Stars Asa Butterfield, Sam Claflin, Paul Bettany, Tom Sturridge and Toby Jones.

The Girl in the Spider’s Web: Computer hacker Lisbeth Salander and journalist Mikael Blomkvist find themselves caught in a web of spies, cybercriminals and corrupt government officials. Based on characters in Stieg Larsson’s Millennium trilogy.

Overlord: War/horror story of American soldiers behind enemy lines on D-Day. As they approach their target, they realise this Nazi-occupied village has more going on than a simple military operation.

A Star is Born: The fourth remake of a 1937 film features Lady Gaga and director, co-producer and co-star Bradley Cooper.

Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween: Goosebumps author R. L. Stine (Jack Black) helps two boys out to foil plans by Slappy the Dummy to bring all his ghoulish friends back to life.

Charming: Animated comedy in which a prince must find true love to break a spell that could mean the end of love in the world.

Hunter Killer: Gerard Butler plays a US submarine commander caught up in an international incident when the Russian president is taken prisoner by rebel elements of his own government.
