Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul: On a family road trip for a birthday celebration, Greg plans a side trip to a gaming convention to meet his idol.

War for the Planet of the Apes: Caesar (Andy Serkis) and his apes are forced into conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless colonel (Woody Harrelson). They engage in an epic battle that will determine the fate of their species and the planet’s future.

DOME CINEMA

Despite the Falling Snow: British spy film stars Rebecca Ferguson, Charles Dance and Sam Reid. A young woman in the post-Stalinist Soviet Union pretends to be a Communist but spies for the Americans. She marries a member of the Kremlin elite to get information, falls in love and plans to defect with him. Thirty years later, he returns to see what happened to her.

Polina: A gifted Bolshoi ballerina falls in love with a French dancer who introduces her to contemporary dance and world travel. Stars Anastasia Shevtsova in the title role, Juliette Binoche as a modern-dance teacher and Niels Schneider as the love interest.

The Time of Their Lives: Out to gatecrash an old lover’s funeral, former film siren Helen (Joan Collins) escapes from her retirement home with help from Priscilla (Pauline Collins), “a repressed English housewife”. On the way they get into a love triangle with an Italian millionaire (Franco Nero).

This Beautiful Fantastic: A would-be children’s author (Jessica Brown Findlay) must tidy her garden or be evicted. She befriends a gruff, gifted gardener (Tom Wilkinson).

Pecking Order: Rivalries, club infighting and the looming national championships form the backdrop to this documentary featuring the 148-year-old Christchurch Poultry, Bantam and Pigeon Club.
