Logan Lucky: Heist comedy directed, shot and edited by Steven Soderbergh (Erin Brockovich, Ocean’s Eleven, Magic Mike). Ensemble cast includes Channing Tatum, Adam Driver, Seth MacFarlane, Katie Holmes, Dwight Yoakam, Brian Gleeson, Hilary Swank and Daniel Craig.
The Dark Tower: A gunslinger, Roland Deschain (Idris Elba), is locked in battle with the Man in Black, Walter O’Dim (Matthew McConaughey). The gunslinger must protect the Dark Tower — a mythical structure that supports all realities — from the Man in Black. Adapted from Stephen King series of novels.
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets: Corrosive mass threatens 28th-century space metropolis housing species from a thousand planets. Space agents Major Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Sergeant Laureline (Cara Delevingne) are sent to investigate. Film based on a French sci-fi comic series. Luc Besson wrote the screenplay, co-produced and directed.
Annabelle: Creation: A prequel to the 2014 movie Annabelle, and the fourth film in The Conjuring series. Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Anthony LaPaglia and Miranda Otto star in story behind the origin of the possessed Annabelle doll.
The Big Sick: Romantic comedy based on the real-life courtship of Pakistan-born comedian Kumail Nanjiani and graduate student Emily V. Gordon.
Atomic Blonde: Charlize Theron plays an MI6 spy sent to Berlin on the eve of the Berlin Wall’s collapse to take down an espionage ring that has just killed an agent.
Hampstead: A widow (played by Diane Keaton) forms a relationship with a tramp (Brendan Gleeson) who has created a well-tended smallholding in the grounds of a disused hospital.
Baby Driver: Getaway driver Baby is in deep with the wrong people. Initially driving to pay off a debt, he is coerced into another job that could be the death of him. Edgar Wright film stars Ansel Elgort, Kevin Spacey, Jon Hamm and Jamie Foxx.
Dunkirk: The Dunkirk story, directed by Christopher Nolan. Unknown actors in lead roles reflect soldiers’ inexperience. Kenneth Branagh, Tom Hardy and Mark Rylance also star.
Despicable Me 3: Gru (Steve Carell) faces off against Balthazar Bratt, a former child star obsessed with the character he played.
