The Kashmir Files

Hindi-language drama written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri. A fictional storyline describes the 1990 exodus from the Kashmir valley of Kashmiri Pandits (Hindus) during the insurgency of Jammu and Kashmir. Before the 1947 partition of India that accompanied the end of British rule, the Kashmir valley in the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir had a population that was about 5 percent Hindu and 95 percent Muslim. By 1950, many Pandits — in the face of planned land reforms that would disadvantage them — had left the valley for other parts of India. In 1989 and 1990 an insurgency fed by frustration at delays in the granting of more autonomy caused widespread alarm among the Pandit population in the valley. Of up to 140,000 Hindus, as many as 100,000 left the valley in early 1990. Some critics say this film promotes historical revisionism, acts as propaganda for India's ruling party and fosters prejudice against Muslims. But it is a box-office hit.

Morbius

Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder and determined to save others suffering his fate, Dr Michael Morbius (Jared Leto) takes a desperate gamble. At first it seems to be a radical success, but a darkness inside him is unleashed. Will good override evil, or will Morbius succumb to his mysterious new urges?

Jujutsu Kaisen 0

Japanese-language animated dark fantasy film, based on the manga series Jujutsu Kaisen 0, a prequel to the Jujutsu Kaisen manga series, both created by Gege Akutami.

Dog

Two former Army Rangers are paired against their will on a road trip down the US Pacific coast in a race to get to the funeral of a fellow soldier. Briggs (Channing Tatum) and Lulu (played by three Belgian Malinois dogs) eventually find common ground.

It Snows in Benidorm

The Duke
