FOR THE BUSY LADY: Jenny says Anne Tolley is looking lovely and ready to go in the perfect outfit for a busy lady's night out.
Jenny Harding’s high-end store Starforme has seen it all throughout her career, managing to survive the economic downturn through the immense loyalty of her customers.
As a thank you to her customer base, she throws an autumn and spring fashion show each year, with neighbour and friend Tony Field, to
showcase Starforme’s new season looks. Her staff take part, as does MP Anne Tolley and six other models. They pack out Tony Field Jewellers for an evening of diamonds, garments, laughter, good food and of course, wine. This year the spring collection reveal was a special occasion — it was the very last fashion show.
“I have lots of lovely memories of Starforme but it is my customers I am going to miss the most. Many of them have become like family. We have grown older together and watched each other’s children grow up. Starforme could not have survived so long without you, thank you all.
“My husband and staff have been a huge support to me. I have been so lucky, they are my friends, not staff,” says Jenny.
Jenny’s longest serving staff member Alayne Jones of 27 years — she has had only nine staff over 44 years, three of whom are still there, Alayne, Trish Groves and Heather Thompson — shared some wonderful words of support.
