Egg-citing Easter Chick

Ready to hatch some Easter fun? With just a few supplies and a touch of creativity, you can craft your very own hatching Easter chick! 
Whether you’re looking for a fun activity to do with the kids or simply want to add a charming touch to your Easter decor, this project is sure to delight.

YOU’LL NEED
• A4 sheet of white paper/card
• Small piece of yellow paper/card
• Scissors
• Tape and glue
• Ice block stick
• Coloured pens/pencils/embellishments

STEP 1
Cut two Easter egg shapes out of white
card. Cut a circle out of the yellow card. This needs to be slightly narrower than the top of the egg.

STEP 2
Colour the edge of one egg and add a cracked line. Cut through the cracked line.

STEP 3
Add a thin line of glue to the plain white egg around the bottom section only – be careful to leave a gap at the bottom so you can poke the ice block stick though.

STEP 4
Stick the bottom section of the outlined egg to the plain white egg. Ensure the gap at the bottom doesn’t accidentally get glued shut.

STEP 5
Glue the top section of the egg to the yellow circle and draw on eyes and a beak.

STEP 6
Tape the ice block stick onto the back of the
chick’s head.

STEP 7
Decorate your egg and slide the ice block stick down between the two layers of the egg and out the gap in the bottom.
