Tickets are still on sale for the first Dancing for Life Education event, which is now just a month away.
The event will see ten pairs of familiar Gisborne faces perform at the War Memorial Theatre to raise money for the Life Education Trust (LET).
“The dancers are in full
swing with their weekly — and sometimes more than weekly — practices,” LET Gisborne East Coast and Wairoa chairwoman Pat Seymour said.
“We have all sorts of innovative ways being promoted to secure the $2500 sponsorship per couple that goes to Life Education and assists the running of this extravaganza and then supports the running costs of LET locally.
“Tickets have been sold and it is promising to be a five-star quality evening’s entertainment. Life Education is really grateful for the efforts of the dancers and their sponsors in making this commitment to the children of Tairawhiti through the work of Life Education in our primary and intermediate schools,” she said.
