COLOUR without the commitment is a dream come true for less dedicated “hair” devils and that is exactly what the Evo Fabuloso range provides.

Raquel Inglis from Raquel Hair & Makeup now stocks Fabuloso — a semi-permanent colour range that lasts anywhere from four to 16 washes.

“I love my job, it’s so much fun. I have only had Fabuloso in for a few weeks. It is such a fun product to play with, without the full commitment to colour.”

The Fabuloso formula is one of the first of its kind in the country.

“This product stains the pigments in your hair.

“It is based on the thickest and strongest hair in the world, which is hard to colour — that is why the Fabuloso range is quite strong in pigment.”

The bonus with a semi-permanent colour is that Raquel can remove it from her client’s hair in one deep cleanse wash at the salon, or send clients home with custom- made coloured conditioner to make the colour last longer.

“Fabuloso is also paraben, sulphate, ammonia and peroxide-free. Basically everything you can have a reaction to is not in this product.

“It is a conditioning colour and it contains heaps of botanical extracts, so it is better for your skin and hair. It also fades through the same tone, so it will not fade out murky.”

Fabuloso is environmentally-friendly too.

“People are now quite big on being kind to the environment and I have always been big on that too.”

Process is fastThe process is fast as well. From entering the salon, it takes 45 minutes for a full treatment experience to be completed.

Aside from herself, Raquel’s longtime client Sophie Steele was one of the first to try out the new Fabuloso range.

“Colour can change your whole complexion. We did a lavender purple shade on Sophie and she has really blue eyes, so it makes them pop,” says Raquel.

“With colour you can change someone’s whole look and if you do not like it, it is much easier to change colour than a cut.”

Sophie has had her hair coloured before. She says she was bored and wanted a change that did not involve a full cut and restyle.

“I like to play with my hair colour and it had been months since I had a trend colour. The Fabuloso colours are stronger than other colours. Raquel is also really confident with her colouring and she explains every step of what she is doing.”

The name says it all. Fabulous.
