In a pan combine butter, condensed milk and cocoa powder.
Heat on medium and keep stirring until the butter melts and the cocoa powder is thoroughly mixed.
Cook the mixture until it becomes thick and starts leaving the side of the pot.
Do not overcook as then it will become hard candy as it cools.
Transfer to a bowl and put it in the fridge until cool and firm.
Once cool, roll the mixture into balls.
Place it on a plate of chocolate sprinkles and roll to coat it completely.
Place the finished brigadeiros on a plate and refrigerate.
You can store them in the fridge for up to five days.
■ While traditional brigadeiros are rolled in chocolate sprinkles, they can also be rolled in coconut, crushed oreo cookies or hundreds and thousands.
