PUREREHUA: Each of the eight Gisborne artists involved in the 100 Day project, in which they had to produce a fresh work every day, now have individual shows at Tairawhiti Museum. First up is creative beauty and nail technician, Terangi Kutia-Tataurangi whose interactive work Purerehua wings is painted directly on the wall of a dedicated gallery space. Purerehua is an inspirational piece, says Kutia-Tataurangi. “It’s about spreading your wings to do something you always wanted to do.” Picture by Jolene Douglas

EACH of the eight Gisborne artists involved in the 100 Day project, in which they had to produce a fresh work every day, now have individual shows at Tairawhiti Museum.

Viewers are invited to stand in front of the stylised butterfly wings and have their picture taken.

The photograph can be uploaded to Instagram and each entry goes into a draw for a “goodies bag”.

Purerehua will be on display until August 27.
