Trust Tairawhiti has launched an online survey to capture the impact this current lockdown is having on local business owners and operators.
Accessible through the trust website, the short survey asks questions around the areas of business affected by lockdown, types of support that would be useful, uptake of Government
financial support and employee wellbeing.
Trust Tairawhiti regional economic development general manager Richard Searle said the survey was designed to provide valuable insights for regional decision-makers.
“The survey findings will help the trust understand the impacts of this lockdown compared to last year's, and also understand what is needed most for businesses to recover and get back to business as usual when the alert level comes down.”
Survey insights will be shared with Rau Tipu Rau Ora (RTRO), the regional Covid-19 recovery governance forum. This forum includes the mayor, chairs of local iwi authorities as well as Trust Tairawhiti, Eastland Group, Eastland Institute of Technology and Hauora Tairawhiti.
