First Fresh staged a highly successful and entertaining ‘Freshies' awards function recently that drew a near-capacity crowd to their packhouse turned presentation space.
Jason and Hannah Galloway, citrus growers from Ormond, took home the supreme award.
The awards celebrate the achievements of all First Fresh grower suppliers.
The MC and
guest speaker was Al Brown (pictured above speaking to the crowd) - a celebrity chef, author and restaurant owner, who entertained the audience about the origins of his passion for food, what defines New Zealand cuisine and some tales ‘from the road' during his career.
