Eastland Port handled more than 192,000 tonnes of logs in October on board eight ships that came to call.

A port spokeswoman said with 11 log ships so far booked for this month the team at ISO Limited will have a busy few weeks ahead of them.

“Next week marks the beginning of cruise season with the Heritage Adventurer arriving on Wednesday,” she said.

“The Wharf 7 project is humming along nicely and we are pleased to report we are over half way through installing the steel piles.”
