Gisborne's top businesses will battle it out tonight at the Westpac Tairawhiti Business Excellence Awards 2021.

The awards gala dinner is at Farmers Air Showgrounds Event Centre, when seven category winners will be crowned, along with a supreme winner.

Television personality and raconteur Jeremy Corbett will emcee the event.

A sell-out crowd of 350 is expected.

Twenty-three finalists are in the mix to take out category trophies and impress the judging panel — Whaimutu Dewes, Doug Jones, Shannon Dowsing, Matt Logan, Alice Pettigrew, Barbara Clarke, Matt Long, Catherine Chrisp and Richard Harding.
