One driver was arrested after a car chase and Whanganui police are seeking another after incidents over the weekend.
In one incident, the driver fled from police but the pursuit ended when his car was spiked.
It began shortly before 9pm on Friday night when police pulled over a vehicle on Somme Parade near Park Place.
"As the officer was walking to the car, the driver drove away," a spokesperson said.
"Police initiated a brief pursuit and the vehicle was successfully spiked on Alma Road near Harper Street where the driver was arrested."
Police are also looking for the occupants of a car that crashed on Anzac Parade around 1.30am on Sunday morning.
"Police were alerted that a car had crashed into a power pole at the intersection with Mount View Road and Anzac Parade," the spokesperson said.
"The occupants of the vehicle left the scene immediately after the crash in another vehicle."
