Tauranga families took advantage of the nice weekend weather to enjoy this year's A&P Show. Bay of Plenty Times photographer Chris Callinan was there.

Debris and broken containers litter Bay of Plenty beaches after heavy seas caused the stricken container ship MV Rena to break in two on Sunday the 8th of January.

Containers, milk powder and polystyrene debris have washed ashore at Waihi Beach. Waihi Leader editor Fritha Tagg was at the scene this morning and took some of these photos. Others have been supplied by readers.
