Tauranga economic and education leaders torn between stricter rules for foreign students


The city's education leaders say the Government's changes to immigration rules will encourage more international students to stay and work in Tauranga after they graduate. But one leader in the city's economic development says local tertiary institutes, particularly those offering lower-level qualifications, were already feeling the bite.
