A free bus trial for students in one Tauranga suburb is being labelled by parents as "pointless" and was "set up to fail". The Welcome Bay school bus trial starts on January 30 with Aquinas and Bethlehem colleges to determine whether free student fares can help with Tauranga's traffic congestion.
