Of late, I have been hearing a similar theme amongst people coming through the animal shelter.
With no cat whisperers or consultants at hand, I am catapulting myself into this topic, guided by other SPCA staff and my own take on things.
The subject being "are our cats our friends or foes"?
Generally, people take on a pet to love and to get love in return. To be more than a food dispenser, but developing a meaningful connection.
But what about when the cat has to be tip-toed around? The nervous Nelly; the super sensitive delicate flower; the cat that you have to creep up the edge of the hall to pass, hopefully without incident.
