Grabbing a Lotto ticket while doing the grocery shopping has worked out well for a Tauranga punter, now $20,574 richer after Saturday night's lottery draw.
The ticket was bought from Countdown Tauranga. The winner was among 13 from around New Zealand to win Lotto second division.
A player from Christchurch has extra reason to celebrate after also winning the Powerball Second Division prize of $38,757, bringing their total winnings to $59,331. The winning ticket was sold at Pak N Save Riccarton in Christchurch.
Anyone who bought their ticket from any of these winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet or online at MyLotto.co.nz.
