Tauranga not-for profit organisations are bracing for funding cuts.
The Ministry of Social Development's Community Response Fund will formally end on June 30 and will affect the Tauranga Budget Advisory Service and Age Concern Tauranga.
There would be no change to the Salvation Army's Tauranga services.
The cuts would force Age Concern's branches in Kaitaia, Rodney, Rotorua, Wairoa and Marlborough to close but there would be little change in the services provided by the Tauranga site.
Tauranga chairwoman Angela Scott said the branch received money through the fund for its elder abuse service.
