Career options were the basis for a field trip for Western Bay school leaders yesterday.
The eight principals and two deputy principals, representing the Bay's 10 secondary schools, took part in the Principals' Day Out where they learned about transport, logistics and roading.
Economic development agency Priority One has held the event each year since 2005 and provides a chance to see what sort of career opportunities are available for students.
This year's theme was Business is on the Move.
School leaders heard from roading company Higgins and cargo and shipping company CHH Lodestar before getting their hands dirty at the Higgins construction site at The Lakes.
