Papamoa-based music artist Tiki Taane has beaten the likes of Dave Dobbyn and Scribe in a list of New Zealand's hottest 100 albums.
Taane's solo debut Past, Present, Future ranked number 22 in the list, compiled by Kiwi FM and released this week.
Taane (pictured) told the Bay of Plenty Times Weekend he was "over the moon" with the placing.
"I think that's amazing, I'm totally stoked because I put my heart and soul in to music and for people to think that it's up there, that's awesome," Taane said.
Fat Freddy's Drop's Based on a True Story was voted the best ever by a New Zealand artist and topped the poll, which also featured Bic Runga, Kora and Crowded House. Kiwi FM said the album changed the face of New Zealand music and Fat Freddy's Drop had "changed New Zealand culture with their laid-back dub style of music".
