Searchers have recovered the bodies of seven Americans and nine Vietnamese who died in a helicopter crash while looking for the remains of United States soldiers missing in action from the Vietnam War.
A 45-year-old witness said the explosion when the Russian-built machine hit a mountainside "was like during the Vietnam War again." There was one survivor, a Vietnamese, who died soon afterwards.
A spokesman for the US mission said this was the first accident in many years of using this type of helicopter, which was chartered from the Vietnamese military.
