Wanganui Toyota Development XV ushered in some new faces but kept their RDO Shield roll going with a 43-5 win over Horowhenua Kapiti in Levin on Saturday.
Scoring seven tries to one, plus making four conversions, Wanganui conceded a try in the first minute of the game when they were caught napping out wide, but just like the weekend before against Wairarapa-Bush they dominated the back end of the match.
Up 12-5 at halftime, five more tries in the second half left them the only team in the RDO competition with two wins.
"Similar type of game, a sloppy first half. Their defence was really good," said coach Denis Edwards.
"It just took us a while to get our combinations going again, having two players in from the Heartland team."
