Whanganui athletes hit pay dirt on day one of the World Masters Games rowing on Monday bagging gold, two silver anda bronze.
Aramoho Wanganui Rowing Club's Trevor Rush and Richard Brock claimed gold in the men's G colxless pair, while Rush backed up with silver in the men's H single scull.
Aramoho men Bruce Osborne, Garth Hammond, Ewan Noble and Allan Luff won silver in the men's H coxed four with cocswain Sue O'Leary doing the steering.
Meanwhile, in the women's C coxless pair Philippa Baker-Hogan from Union Boat Club teamed up with Aramoho's Tash Carver to take bronze.
Aramoho rower Jacs Rush predicted more to come through the week from Whanganui crews in what is a busy rowing schedule on Lake Karapiro.
