The Misfits goal defence Steve Cox (photo above) gets some air in his team's outdoor netball game at Laird Park against Whanganui-orientated squad Rel8dinsumway yesterday.

In total, there was a significant drop in participation for New Zealand Masters Games netball this year with 24 teams taking part, which was 12 less than 2015.

This which was in turn 11 teams less than two years prior to that in 2013.

Originally scheduled to start at 9am on Friday, the first games were played at 5pm that evening before resuming with the regular time table on Saturday.
