Reuben McGinity was walking to Dominos to get a pizza one night last week when he saw a dark shape lying on the road.
He thought it was rubbish. But on the way back the 22-year-old computer graphic design student stopped by the St John's Club carpark to pick it up. It was a wallet, with $50 bills spilling out of it.
When he took it home and counted the money there was $1600. He looked through the wallet to find out who it belonged to.
There was no driver's licence to give an address, but he found the Wicksteed House Medical Centre address on a dry cleaning receipt.
He decided to drop the wallet off there on the way to class the next morning. He googled the name in the wallet and found the owner, Brian Scrimshaw, was a GP.
