Some big names in the book world are heading to Whanganui in September for the Whanganui Literary Festival.
The festival was officially launched at the Community Arts Centre on Saturday, with this year's programme made public.
The festival will be held from September 30 to October 8.
The line-up of authors and writers includes author Fiona Farrell, former poet laureate CK Stead, Ockham New Zealand award winner Adam Dudding, playwright Roger Hall, cookbook author Jo Seagar, performance poet Selina Tusitala Marsh, music critic Nick Bollinger, graphic novelist Sarah Laing.
Local writers Chris Moisa and Terry Sarten will also join the line-up.
