A Whanganui mobile food vendor, who says local vendors are not well supported, is quitting the city.
Graham Cook of GF Catering said he would leave at the end of May. He has sold his home, "it was on the market less than a week" and is now looking for new opportunities elsewhere.
"Other councils roll out the red carpet rather than the red tape we get here," Mr Cook said.
Mr Cook criticised the New Zealand Masters Games and others for using out-of-town food vendors over locals in an earlier Chronicle news item.
Meanwhile Mainstreet, who Mr Cook questioned over the use of out-of-town vendors, is extending an invitation to local food vendors to register on their database.
