Facilitator Kathy Parnell (left) and (from left) Greg Burtenshaw, Colin Wright, Sue Kumeroa, Mairi Jay, Dave Greenfield and Kyley Logan discuss what's next for the community circles run by the Whanganui Restorative Practices Trust.

Mrs Parnell said the circles were an opportunity for people to talk and meet others, and not feel they are being talked at.

"We have to make sure it's welcoming for everyone," Mrs Parnell said.

The circles could eventually be used to talk through and solve community problems. So far there have been four circles held in Whanganui's Gonville suburb. The next will be in Tawa St, Mrs Parnell said.
