The kahawai were running at the Whanganui River mouth on Saturday and there were plenty of anglers there to get their share. Chronicle photographer Bevan Conley captured the action from the North Mole.

A run of kahawai didn't stand much chance at the mouth of the Whanganui River on Saturday as fishermen came in droves to try their luck from the North Mole.
