Prime Minister John Key paid a visit to Rangitikei College yesterday - just in time to catch up with Karene Biggs on her last day as principal at the college.
"I hear it's your last day," he said, greeting Mrs Biggs at the school entrance.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Rangitikei MP Ian McKelvie and escorted by Rangitikei student Manahi Kamura and teacher Marise Taru.
The welcoming karanga was performed by student Marama Karehana and kaumatua Mike Paki gave the welcoming korero to Mr Key.
In a 10-minute speech to the Rangitikei students, Mr Key congratulated them on their achievements and the progress made at the school.
