Whanganui Film Society returns after its holiday break with a modern day documentary about farming.
The Moo Man, directed by Andy Heathcoate and Heike Bachelier, follows the farming practices of British dairy farmer Stephen Hook.
While modern British dairy farms must get bigger and bigger or go under, Mr Hook decides to buck the trend. Instead he chooses to have a great relationship with his small herd of cows and ignore the big supermarkets anddairies.
The result is a laugh-out-loud, emotional roller-coaster of a film, a heart-warming tear-jerker about the incredible bonds between man, animal and countryside in a fast disappearing England.
The Moo Man screens at the Davis Lecture Theatre at 7pm on July 20. Please note you must be a member of the Whanganui Film Society to attend this screening.
