Sex assaults on children alleged

Wainuiomata man Robert John Gregory appeared in the Whanganui District Court on Wednesday on several charges including sexually violating children and threatening to kill.

The 41-year-old storeperson has not yet entered pleas to eight charges, which include indecently assaulting and sexually violating young girls, threatening grievous bodily harm, and threatening to kill.

There are three complainants.

The charging document shows the alleged crimes happened between 1997 and 2010.

Gregory did not apply for bail and was remanded until June 16 for plea.
