Dozens of promising young dancers are jumping, twirling and tapping their way across the stage at the Wanganui Girls' College hall this week.
Just over 300 entries were received for the Wanganui Competitions Society's dance festival in ballet, modern and tap categories.
The festival began on Wednesday morning and will finish today.
Organiser Eris Walker said there was a last-minute change for the ballet adjudicator, who had to pull out. She was replaced by Taihape-based dance school director Kate Martin.
The tap adjudicator is Natalie Campbell, who is the head of dance at Wanganui High School.
