Crystal Ellicott and her sister Melissa White will be taking one space for the baby-related clothing and toys they make in their Babybitz Boutique business. They usually sell through a Facebook site.
The 20 stalls on the first night will not be limited to mothers - Ms Ockey hopes dads, grandparents and other family members will get involved. One thing that's guaranteed is some good baking.
Stallholders will bring their own tables and pay $10 for the space, which goes into the Plunket coffers.
Mainstreet Wanganui is co-ordinating a late opening for Victoria Ave shops that night.
The group is hoping the night market will become a regular event that is original and encourages home businesses.
People who want a stall in the first Plunket Night Market Fundraiser can contact Ms Ockey on 021 0244 8596 or email Jo.Ockey@plunket.org.nz.
