Wanganui audiences who love to participate in rip-roaring dinner theatre will have their chance with Amdram's Desperadoes production.
The acts of the play take place between dinner and dessert and then after dessert at the Amdram Theatre from November 25 to December 10. There are also matinees with no meal at 4pm on Sunday November 27 and December 4.
It's the seventh dinner theatre show that Glenn Cameron has directed in Wanganui. He said they were ideal for groups wanting a few laughs in the lead-up to Christmas.
This play is set in a saloon and has a cast of 15 who are on stage all the time - or at least when they are not out with the audience.
The saloon belongs to Dolores, who is played by Mel Hawkins, and she is helped by her little sister Laura and two assistants, Lily and Rose. Into this scene of drinking and gambling come desperadoes intent on stealing the takings ... and the story takes off from there.
