Children joined in with adults at The Green Bench studios this week, creating art for a special exhibition wall.
The young artists sat alongside parents and adult artists before deciding what special stencil they would create... with a bit of help.
The newly-stencilled wall will stay up as an exhibition for the next few weeks before being painted out to make way for the next project at the studio.
The Green Bench is a project room in Whanganui run by artists Julian Priest and Sophie Klerk. It was founded in 2008 and moved to a new public space in June 2009. It is a multifunctional space of 172 square meters in central Whanganui including studios and a permanent project/exhibition space.
Green Bench hosts events, screenings and workshops, and puts on contemporary art exhibitions as well as being a space for developing artist projects and collaborations, with visiting national and international artists.
