Dairy farmers across the country have given feedback on how to improve the care of bobby calves.
The information will be used to help Dairy NZ and six other industry associations to develop an action plan for next calving season.
Animal husbandry and welfare team leader Chris Leach says it's essential to get farmer feedback, as they know the challenges and have solutions.
He says they're wanting farmers to do their part, and will work with transporters to ensure the best welfare outcomes for the calves.
