The Country is going "Outback with Allflex." Jamie Mackay catches up with some of the leading lights in the Platinum Primary Producers Group (comprising 150 of the largest and most productive farmers across Australasia).
Today it's the turn of David Connelly of Tipperary Station.
Tipperary Station is a 400,000 hectare beef operation in the Northern Territory, 200kms south of Darwin.
Connelly says the area is very productive with high pasture growth due to bountiful rainfall. However, there is one problem hampering Tipperary Station's productivity - crocodiles.
David reports of a crocodile over four metres long that had been killing cattle recently. They captured the offending croc and he was sent to a crocodile farm in Darwin.
