A pair of outlandish MasterChef NZ contestants have peppered their promotional Facebook page with expletives - and a reference to extreme sex.
Jokers Glynn Rudolph and James Culleton have been a hit with viewers on the prime time TV One show, making the final eight and battling to become the first MasterChef duo winners. The guys, however, have also posted foul-mouthed comments on a Glynn and James MasterChef Facebook page linked to the show, which can be seen by young fans.
This week, Wellington flatmates Rudolph and Culleton commented about fellow contestants, sisters Verena Doolabh and Tanisha Kemp: "One thing that wasn't highlighted tonight, was how f*****g incredible Tanisha and Verena were."
In another post, one of the duo writes, of his attempt to fillet a fish: "I'm a Mullet F****r".
Family First national director Bob McCoskrie said it was a concern children could view the comments.
But TVNZ insisted it had no control over what the contestants posted online. "Since series one, MasterChef NZ contestants have operated Facebook pages," said station spokeswoman Dominica Leonard.
• Tonight on MasterChef NZ, the top eight duos split into two teams to prepare an eight-course degustation meal.
