"I last had my blood pressure tested when I had a baby!" Heather Kerr's youngest child is now 38, so she was certainly due to have a blood pressure check when she popped in to Stratford New World on Saturday for some groceries.
Customers were able to have their blood pressure checked in the store, thanks to The Big NZ Blood Pressure Check, an annual event organised by the Stroke Foundation to raise awareness of the importance of healthy blood pressure levels.
For Heather Kerr, the results were good. "You are in a healthy range so absolutely no concerns," St Johns volunteer Liz Sunman told her.
