Jo Patterson, from Big Brothers, Big Sisters Taranaki, says she is thrilled to have Nathan Mikaere-Wallis return to Stratford to run more workshops, following the success of ones held in the town last July.
Jo says that Nathan, the director of training for the Brainwave Trust, has a fantastic reputation as a lively and engaging speaker on the topic of brain development. She adds she received "a huge amount" of positive feedback from his workshops held last year, encouraging her to bring him back for follow-up workshops.
The two workshops, held in April at the War Memorial Centre, are both full day sessions, with a parent / community presentation to be held in the evening.
Spaces are limited for the day sessions, says Jo, who encourages people to book soon to avoid disappointment. Each day costs a total of $100, a cost which has been significantly reduced, thanks to the support of Stratford District Council who have provided the venue as well as Big Brothers, Big Sisters who are contributing to the costs of hosting Nathan says Jo. She adds the session cost includes morning tea and lunch.
The evening session will be a gold coin donation for entry and is based on a first come, first served principle with seating for up to 300.
